Scottish Association of Writers

Congratulations to AWC Life Member Marion Montgomery who has won the SAW Scholarship 2012. Marion has never previously won the scholarship and she has the added joy of taking home the Dorothy Dunbar Trophy for the first time, having been runner-up on four previous occasions.

Marion's only other major success at SAW was winning the drama competition in 1980, with a play set in Moscow. There was no trophy for drama at that time - Helensburgh donated one years later - so 2012 will be the first time she'll carry home any silverware.

The 2012 SAW Conference Weekend will be held at the Erskine Hotel on 9th to 11th March. Download the 2012 Schedule here to learn about the programme for the weekend.

The Gallery is a collection of AWC events/workshops/SAW/prizegivings etc to log some of our achievements and successes over the years. It is not fully comprehensive but it is a start We'd love to receive photographs by email that can perhaps be included in the Gallery. Memories of AWC in years past would be great.
