Membership
We have three levels of annual Ayr Writers’ Club Membership: Full, e-Member, and Student Member.
Our meetings are held at the Mercure Ayr Hotel, with a full programme of guest speakers, writing workshops and feedback sessions from September 2025 until May 2026.
A full schedule of competitions is also available to members.
Over the summer months, from June to August 2026, bring along your drafts (in any genre), or a sample of your completed works (up to 1000 words) to read out at the fortnightly Readaround Feedback Evenings. Or just listen, enjoy the readings, offer thoughts if any come to you. It’s a chance to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow writers as we offer each other constructive, helpful feedback. These evenings are only open to paid-up club members.
Your membership will expire on 31 August 2026.
HALF-YEAR MEMBERSHIP for our current programme is available from January 2026 at 50% of the full year price.

FULL MEMBERSHIP
This gives access to all aspects of Ayr Writers' Club.

e-MEMBERS
Mostly an online-membership of the club.

- Up to 3 club nights of your choice from September to May are included with your Online Membership. Also, Opening Night, Xmas Night, and the AGM

STUDENT MEMBERS
Have the same club access as full members. Must be over 16, full-time students and show a student ID card at their first meeting.

COMPETITIONS
Members' competition subscription
£30
- For a payment of £30, members can enter all of the competitions throughout the year. The individual competition entry fee is £4 per competition. With ten competitions, requiring an entry fee, running from September through to April, a saving of £10 can be made this way.
