We have three levels of annual Ayr Writers’ Club Membership: Full, e-Member, and Student Member.

Our meetings are held at the Mercure Ayr Hotel, with a full programme of guest speakers, writing workshops and feedback sessions from September 2026 until May 2027.

A full schedule of competitions is always available to members.

The club programme comes to an end in early May. Throughout the summer we aim to meet fortnightly in the homes of members who are happy to host us, with each host setting the number of people they can accommodate. These gatherings are what we call a Readaround. Members bring along a piece of writing to share with those attending, and in return they receive feedback, encouragement and plenty of support. As these sessions aren’t part of the organised programme, we’re entirely dependent on volunteers to host the evenings, and their help is always greatly appreciated. These evenings are only open to paid-up club members.

Your membership will expire on 31 August 2027.

HALF-YEAR MEMBERSHIP for our current programme is available from January 2027 at 50% of the full year price.
