Franky Bonfanti on the importance of peat bogs

Currently a student of journalism at the City of Glasgow College, Franky was surprised and delighted when one of his lecturers, who edits the Sunday National, jumped at the chance of publishing Franky’s piece on the hot topic of combating climate change.

The article connects Franky’s personal experience of a peat bog, on South Uist, as a child, with his enlightening interview with climate scientist, Professor Peter Smith of Aberdeen University, who highlights the importance of peat bogs in our growing climate emergency.

Congratulations, Franky!
