AWC members were out and about in June performing their poems and taking part in festivals.
Fiona McFadzean, Tracy Harvey and Greta Yorke all took part in the Girvan Arts Festival on Saturday 7th June.
Tracy and Fiona performed poems at the Words from the Sea event on the theme of Coast.
Greta was in action at Girvan Library reading her children’s books to a very appreciative and energetic audience.
Marion Husband travelled to the University of Mainz in Germany to give two workshops at the Scotfest 2025 Festival. The festival aims to strengthen cultural links between Germany and Scotland and is run in conjunction with Glasgow University and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Marion’s workshop on Being a Children’s Author was very well received by the audience. Marion talked about her books and the audience were particularly delighted to hear about Is This the Way to Brodie Castle?
Marion’s second workshop gave her participants the opportunity to write, inspired by a series of Scottish-themed prompts.
