AYR WRITERS’ MEMBERS IN AYRSHIRE MAGAZINE

Explore Ayr – July/August Issue 050

The latest issue of Ayrshire Magazine is a celebratory one – their 50th edition – and yet again features members of AYR WRITERS.

Linda Brown makes two appearances in this issue, firstly on page 82 with Inspired to Paint, a piece about artist Margaret Johnston, and secondly on page 146, this time straying from her home territory in an exploration of the coastline around Ayr, in her piece called Ayr Rocks.

Sheila Grant’s Hi Ho Sylvie column on page 156, sees her describing her adventures as she heads south via Galloway Forest and what a trip it turns out to be!

In Feuds, Conspiracies and Murders, on page 38, Suzy Kelly delves into the Kennedy clan in Bloody Tales of Greenan Castle and is a fascinating read.

Past President, Nigel Ward, cranes his neck to explore some of the buildings of Ayr, in his piece I Lift Up Mine Eyes, on page 36, in which he examines the sky lines and architecture of the old town.

And finally, in the events section on page 120, our very own end of session AWARDS DINNER is celebrated in print and image.
