AYR WRITERS’ MEMBERS IN AYRSHIRE MAGAZINE

Explore Prestwick – Winter Issue 046

What is it they say about buses? None for ages, than they all come at once!

Much the same could be said for AYR WRITERS’ members appearing in the latest AYRSHIRE MAGAZINE.

Prestwick resident and AYR WRITERS’ member, Greta Yorke, is featured in an interview, on page 46, entitled, Talking books with the local children’s author. It reveals how it all began for Greta, and focuses on her writing successes over the past seven years.

Although not born in Prestwick, another local, Carolyn O’Hara, writes about her love of the town and its people in her article, Why Prestwick Makes me Happy (page 60).

But that’s not all! On page 118, you’ll read a piece called Perils with Beryl, a travelogue about adventures in a campervan during the pandemic, written by long-time member Sheila Grant.

And last, but not least, Gail McPartland has written a heart-warming piece called, One Person Can Do so Much (page 126) about Ayr’s Guinea Pig Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
