Ayrshire Magazine Feature – AWC Club Authors, Gill Sherry and Carolyn O’Hara

Ayr Writers’ Club members, Gill Sherry and Carolyn O’Hara, have already had amazing writing success this year, with Gill winning a staggering four AWC competition trophies (including the Dorrith Sim Trophy for Published Author of the Year), and Carolyn having her poem, By Chance, selected for inclusion within the Scottish Book Trust’s national publication, Blether, with a print run of 150,000 copies.

But it was the publication of their very first books, Serious Foul Play and Oculeus, that led Ayrshire Magazine to request a in-depth interview with both authors, to find out more.

You can read the full interviews with Gill and Carolyn, hear all about their recently released works, through the free-to-read Ayrshire Magazine online publication HERE

When you Wish You Knew the Author – p32  (Gill Sherry)

And, there’s also an interview with our most recent brilliant guest speaker, local-born novelist, Graeme Macrae Burnet, on page 52, His Literary Project and One Degree of Separation.
