March/April Issue 054
Yet again, this magazine features the work of some of our members.
Broad Beans, Windowsills and the Perils of Honesty is the title of Chris Palmer’s piece on the joys of growing veggies and, also on an outdoor theme, Linda Brown writes about another country walk adventure in, Spring Blossoms on the Burnawn Walk which starts off in the hamlet of Sorn.
Linda’s second article, entitled It’s All Happening at THE CORNER, is all about her visit to DART (Darvel Area Regeneration Team) a registered charity run by enthusiastic volunteers. THE CORNER provides the local community with regular markets, offering a wide variety of vendors as well as a host of other events.
Alison Craig, a past president of Ayr Writers’ Club, introduces us to Malcolm McPhail in her article entitled Two Scoops. Malcolm is K.A. Leisure Chief Executive at Life Leisure, an organisation which has won 24 national awards and helps enthuse a new generation with a love of sport.
Finally, Nigel Ward has written a piece entitled, The Fascinating Corners and Curiosities of Ardrossan’s Heritage Trail, about his visit to this Ayrshire seaside town during which his exploration unearths some interesting surprises.
