Fresh news about FRESH INK

Back in March 2021, Ayr Writers’ Club was proud to announce that member Suzy Kelly was one of ten emerging writers to have been commissioned by the National Library of Scotland, to write about Experiences of 2020, as part of their FRESH INK initiative to support diverse voices at ‘a time of unique change’.

The commissioned writers are set to record their pieces which will be launched by the NLS on YouTube over the course of the week beginning 12th July.

On July 15th, there will be a chance to celebrate all ten commissioned writers when they will talk to Nadine Aisha Jassat about their work, during a free Zoom event.

Extracts from the commissioned works will be included in the NLS magazine and displayed online.
