Basking in the success of her Edinburgh book launch for her memoir A Last Journey ( available on Amazon), AWC Honorary member Ann Burnett’s heartfelt and honest article about her experience coping with her husband’s terminal illness was printed in The Herald Newspaper on 28th October.
Writing under her pen name of Marti M McNair, member Susan McVey has her short story A Christmas Card Conundrum published in the festive anthology A Right Cosy Christmas Crime (complied by Wendy H Jones). The book is available to buy on Amazon and would make a fab Christmas gift for ‘cosy’ fans.
Marti M McNair, aka Susan, is celebrating a double success with the publication on 30th October of her young adult novel, Rebels of Ruin – the second book in her gripping trilogy Ruin and Redemption following Jasmine’s battle against the tyrannical One World Order. Island of Ruin (Book 1) and Rebels of Ruin (Book 2) can also be purchased on Amazon.
Damaris West has excelled again and her powerful poem From Pillar to Post appeared on the online poetry site Poem Alone on 18th October.
On October 10th, another of our talented poets, Tracy Harvey, enjoyed the success of being one of the two support acts for Kevin P Gilday’s Mischief Makar show at Irvine’s Harbour Arts Centre.
