Pre-Covid, the Friends of Robert Burns Birthplace Museum organised regular Highlight Talks on Wednesday afternoons.
Finally, these have been able to resume, albeit only monthly at the moment. Wednesday 8th December 2021 is the date of the next – and last – one, this year.
In, ‘Jean Jacques Rousseau: Father of Romanticism’, speaker Denis Rattenbury will consider this extraordinary thinker from the era of the French Revolution, whose ideas chimed with those of Robert Burns and still affect the way we see the world today.
These free Highlight Talks are held in the Robertson Room at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Alloway, Wednesdays at 2.30pm.
Look out for details, posted here, of the programme of speakers for 2022, in the new year.
