The Scottish Association of Writers (SAW) are running a couple of competitions over the summer months, with online entry and enticing prizes.
The first is a 2000 word short story, with an open theme. Adjudicated by Olga Wojtas, and with hints of a night away at the home of SAW’s annual Writers’ Conference – Hilton Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld – together with two additional cash prizes, this competition looks set to attract a lot of interest.
For the second, SAW has announced a 40-line poetry competition. Again, an open theme, an acclaimed judge – Andy Jackson– and cash prizes. This time, for first, second and third places.

Good luck to all entrants.
