Swanwick, as it is fondly known, is the world’s longest running week-long writers’ conference. It is set within the heart of Derbyshire, in the height of summer weeks.
Booking is now open. Go right ahead. Or maybe you could win your way there through their yearly competitions – with a poem (40 lines), children’s fiction (1000 wds), or short story (1000 wds) The theme for all entries is vision. Or apply for a subsidised place for Young Writers (18-30).
However you get there, you’ll be joining around half a dozen other AWC members who thoroughly enjoy this yearly writery immersion.
